Drafting an internal summary or organizing a product description is easier to evaluate than giving a system permission to issue refunds or make commitments. Set aside a small test set and include awkward examples, not only the clean demonstration. Record errors and the time needed to correct them.
Keep a person responsible for the final output, and decide what information may enter the tool before the trial begins. A fast answer that requires extensive checking may offer less value than expected. That is a reason to improve the task or the instructions, not to declare all AI useless. Start narrow, learn from actual work and expand when the team can explain both the benefit and the remaining limitations.
