Seeing a successful backup notification is reassuring, but it does not answer every question an owner will face after a mistake. Which version is available, who can restore it and how long will the team be without the file?

Choose a harmless test document and ask the responsible person to demonstrate recovery through the supported process. Do not experiment by deleting production records. Record the steps and check that recovery access does not depend entirely on the same account or device that could be unavailable.

Include the business context in the review. A restored spreadsheet may still need reconciliation with orders received after the backup. Customer information should return only to an approved location with appropriate access. Repeat the exercise after a major system change and keep the instructions understandable to someone other than the original installer. The value of a backup arrangement is the ability to recover needed work in a controlled way, not simply the number of copies a dashboard says exist.
