A promotion loses force when its sign asks the customer to scan a code, follow an account, join a list and speak to a cashier at the same time. The business may have four goals, but the customer needs to understand the next step.

Choose the action that matters for this offer. Make the benefit and the action visible together, with any important conditions close enough to read before committing. Use the same wording on the window, the landing page and the checkout explanation. A customer should not have to reconcile three versions of the offer.

Test the promotion with someone who did not help create it. Ask what they believe they receive, what they must do and when the offer ends. If their answers differ from the plan, revise the message before adding another channel. Measure completed actions and resulting orders, not only scans or clicks. A simple offer with understandable conditions is easier for staff to explain and for an owner to evaluate.
